Introduction to Online Courses at BUA

Now you can earn many hours toward a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical/Theological Studies from Baptist University of the Américas
through online courses. BUA offers many classes online during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Online courses are five or ten
weeks long. The Fall and Spring semesters offer four online terms: three five-week terms (Alpha, Beta, and Gamma) and one ten-week term (Delta), and the Summer semester offers two five-week online terms.
Now you can study wherever you are, whenever you can.

Students taking online courses will cover the same information as in on-campus courses, but they will complete the course in a
shorter period of time. The amount of work required of students in an online course is comparable to that in an on-campus course,
but actually the workload is heavier (between one and a half to three times as much), because the time is shorter.

Start a degree or complete a degree! If you have coursework elsewhere from an accredited institution, you may be able to transfer
that coursework and apply it to either the B.A. degree or Associate of Arts degree at BUA. 

Online courses offer students several advantages over on-campus classes.

• Online courses fit a student's schedule, no matter how crazy that schedule may be.
• Online courses allow students to work from the comfort of their own home or office.
• Online courses allow students who live far from campus the opportunity to get college credit and finish their degrees.
• Online courses allow students to develop their computer skills, an added benefit in today's online world.
