General Description
Baptist University of the Américas is seeking a qualified faculty
member to teach in the newly created and accredited Bachelor of Arts in
Cross-Cultural Business Leadership. This is a tenure-track position. A
master’s degree in Business, Organizational Leadership, or similar field is
required; a doctoral degree in one of these fields is preferred. Candidates
should have at least three years of experience as a faculty member in higher
education or a minimum of five years of experience in business or
organizational leadership positions. Experience in cross-cultural work
and/or academic environment is required. Baptist University of the Américas
is an institution affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas.

local church.

Responsibilities:

Conduct or oversee curriculum
design, implementation and evaluation
processes for the newly created undergraduate major at Baptist University of
the Américas.
ˇ Teach undergraduate courses in Business, Administration, or Organizational Leadership areas.
ˇ Assist VP for Academic Affairs in identifying and recruiting adjunct faculty to teach in areas of need for the BA in Cross-Cultural Business Leadership degree.
ˇ Advise students in their career plan and academic development.
ˇ Collaborate with the BUA faculty to promote a productive academic and Christian environment.
ˇ Serve in academic, service, or administrative committees to promote the achievement of the mission of the University.
ˇ Carry out day-to-day management activities associated with classroom instruction and academic programs.
ˇ Represent the University at appropriate professional, academic, and denominational settings.
Qualifications & Competencies:
ˇ
Preference for a doctoral
degree in Business, Business
Administration, Organizational Leadership or related areas;
a master’s degree is required
ˇ At least three years teaching experience in higher education or at least five years of working experience in organizational leadership settings.
ˇ Excellent oral and written communication skills
