The mission of the BUA Alumni Association is to CREATE strong relationships between alumni and the Baptist University of the Américas, engage in opportunities to SERVE together, and IMPACT the world.

On October 6, 2016, BUA celebrated its Annual Alumni Dinner at its new campus location at 7838 Barlite Blvd.  With over 70 alumni and guests in the Bea Mesquias Chapel, the event was a special and memorable family reunion. In attendance were three generations of BUA alumni; the Mexican Baptist Bible Institute, the Hispanic Baptist Theological Seminary, and the Baptist University of the Américas.

The theme of the night was Celebrating the Past and Embracing the Future. This was the first occasion alumni came together in its new facility. BUA recognized three alumni for their service to ministry and their professional accomplishments. The recipients were: 1) Rev. Manuel Rios, Josué Gijalva Alumni Service Award; 2) Dr. Rolando Aguirre, Young Alumni Service Award and; 3) Anyra Cano, Professional Achievement Alumni Award.

Mel Keyes, BUA alumni and Pastor of Joshua House of Worship, spoke on the impact BUA has made in his life and ministry: “Every pastor needs a pastor and every disciple maker needs to be made a better disciple. BUA gave me that. Iron sharpens iron.”
