Come join us in Chapel on Feb. 21st and hear the inspiring story of Ernesto Ancira, the owner of the largest privately owned Hispanic Business in San Antonio today (Ancira Automotive Group), and his daughter April Ancira.
His story is one of overcoming hardships and perseverance. About growing up as a young Hispanic man in the early 1970s and beating the odds to become the owner of 11 auto dealerships today and how things have changed and how April, as a young Hispanic woman, is moving forward in the world.
April is a 2002 Trinity University graduate with a B.S. in Marketing and Finance. While pursuing her career in the automotive business that her dad built, she earned her MBA from UTSA in 2003. She has been involved in various community activities since her mom started her off building houses with Habitat for Humanity at a young age. April likes to read, to compete in triathlons and marathons, and to spend time with her husband, Jason Thompson and “pleasantly-exhausting toddler”, Gunnar.
