The Student Council will organize community service projects that demonstrate BUA’s commitment to serve the broader San Antonio community.

 

Thursday, September 27, 2007      Campus Celebration      BUA Campus
    
10:00 – 10:30a            Presidential Fellowship on the Lawn
A reception with refreshments on the lawn outside Henderson Chapel will provide a festive gathering point for  students, staff and visiting guests to the day’s extended chapel service. The Rondalla de las Américas will provide celebrative                  background music.            

10:30 – 12:00p            Extended Inaugural Chapel Service
The extended chapel service will feature honored guest Dr. Charles Wade, retiring Executive Director of the Baptist General Convention of Texas, who will be recognized for his contributions to BUA. Prayers for the president on the eve of his inauguration will be offered by students and staff.

12:00 – 1:00p              Student and Staff Inaugural Luncheon
A special luncheon will be held in the cafeteria for all staff and students to enjoy a celebratory meal together.

 

 Thursday, September 27, 2007      Inaugural  Dinner      Plaza Club San Antonio___

 6:30 – 8:30p                 Inaugural Dinner         
A small, formal dinner will be hosted by the President at Plaza Club San Antonio for key supporters of the University. For more information on this event, contact Roxane Lopez at rlopez1@bua.edu

The Occasional Address will be delivered by Dr. Hulitt Gloer, Professor of Preaching and Christian Scripture, George W. Truett Seminary at Baylor University.
A traditional academic procession will include faculty, delegates from colleges and universities, historic ministry partners, board of trustees, student and alumni representatives, and administrative staff.

From downtown:

Take I-10 East to Fredericksburg.  Make a right on Fredericksburg.  Turn left on Donaldson and make a right on Manor.  The church is located at the corner of Manor and Meredith.

 

 Directions from First Mexican Baptist Church to Marriot Northwest

       Get back on Manor. Turn LEFT on Donaldson. Make a RIGHT on Fredericksburg.    
       Head WEST on I-10.  Take exit 565B towards Crossroads Blvd./Balcones Heights.

  Stay on the service road until you reach Cherry Ridge Drive. Take the turnaround.
