Welcome Future BUA Student!
We’re delighted that you may be considering Baptist University of the Américas for your theological education. Our unique vision for forming cross-cultural Christian leaders has made us the only institution of our kind in America to provide undergraduate theological education from a Hispanic perspective. At BUA, we’re bridging cultures and building lives through personalized, affordable, culturally affirming education for Hispanics and those planning to serve in cross-cultural settings.
Whether you already understand a clear sense of calling to a Christian vocation or you are simply exploring how to better serve God with your life, we have degree programs and courses that are uniquely designed for your goals. Our bachelor’s degree in biblical/theological studies, associate’s degree in cross-cultural studies, and college readiness courses provide three starting points for wherever you are in your education journey. Our popular diploma courses provide practical, pre-degree training. Where there is a bridge, there are no barriers.
Click here to order an informational kit that describes our unique school’s core strengths, degree programs, student development services and financial aid opportunities. The kit also includes an admissions packet and easy instructions for providing all the necessary information we need to move you quickly to “acceptance” so you can prepare to join us on campus.
We are delighted that you are interested in attending BUA. We also offer campus tours on Fridays any time you are in our beautiful city. We’re confident that once you visit our campus and meet our faculty and students, you‘ll find that BUA can be a great place for you. May God bless you with wisdom as you seek your next steps.

DID YOU KNOW WE ARE:
God is asking who will go and tell the growing Hispanic population that He loves them. Answering that call requires cross-cultural skills. Why study about witness to another culture instead of, well, actually living and learning in another culture? Baptist University of the Américas is uniquely structured so that students face daily challenges of turning cultural barriers into Christian bridges.
At $210 per semester hour, BUA tuition is strikingly lower than the average for other private and public universities. It costs a lot to minister in a cross-cultural world—but your training doesn’t have to. Go to the Sallie Mae Education Investment site (https://plan.salliemae.com/) and compare BUA’s typical cost (less than $4,500 per semester) to any other school in the country you are considering.
Almost 80% of the full-time faculty has a doctorate or is working on one—and they teach the classes, not teaching assistants. Additionally BUA’s professors have served as missionaries and/or helped plant churches across the United States as well as in Brazil, Canada, Iceland, Kenya, Mexico, Moldova, Peru, and Ukraine—and that doesn’t count all their evangelism on short term-mission trips.
