BUA Wish List
Endowed Professorships and Programs ($250,000+)
The University has multiple endowment opportunities to support professors in our programs, including the traditional theology department (pastoral ministry, youth ministry, church planting, etc.) as well as the new Cross Cultural Business Leadership and Spanish program departments.
La Familia Scholarship ($25,000+) Scholarship ($25,000+)
BUA allows for scholarships to be named in honor or memory of someone at this level. The gift is placed in endowment, and the interest is used each year for scholarships for needy students.
Online Education Servers ($30,000)
To initially offer online courses, BUA borrows the server space and software package of the Baptist Theological Seminary in Richmond. This funding would allow the University to purchase and maintain its own online program.
Outdoor Furniture for Students ($20,000)
Students do not have an outdoor gathering place on campus adequate for groups larger than 5. BUA would like to provide a gathering area on the current campus for students to fellowship, study and relax.
Audio/Visual Equipment for Cafeteria ($10,000)
Outside of the chapel, the only meeting place large enough for all staff meetings and student meetings is the cafeteria. Currently a sound system must be borrowed from another location to be set up in the cafeteria. This funding would allow the University to create a workable system for hosting meetings in the cafeteria.
Student Center ($10,000)
The Student Center at BUA currently has inadequate furniture and entertainment appliances. The University would like to provide comfortable lounge furniture, a quality television and stereo system, and foosball and similar game tables for their relaxation and enjoyment.
Laptop Computers ($2,500 each)
Most students at BUA do not have their own computer. The Library/Learning Resource Center would like to provide laptops that can be checked out and returned for those students who do not have personal computer access.
Wireless Microphones for Chapel ($1,000)
Currently the chapel does not have wireless microphones, making many aspects of worship and preaching difficult. Funds will be used to purchase 2 lavaliere and 2 handheld wireless microphones.
Music Program (Various Amounts)
Various aspects of the Music Department require additional funding; including soundproofing the practice rooms, purchasing library and sheet music additions, music stands, instrument maintenance, piano tuning, and other music-related items.
