Student Scholarships

All students can apply for this scholarship. Every year, donors (individuals and organizations) give financially so that students like you can afford a private Christian education. The Financial Aid Office administers scholarships per donor specifications. Students can find this application form in their Blackbaud student portal.

Donor-designated scholarships have specific requirements that students must meet to be considered. These application forms can also be found in your Blackbaud student portal.

BUA will match designated gifts from Christian churches to BUA students of up to $1,000 per academic year/$500 per semester, per student. Here’s the link to apply for the Church Match Scholarship: Download Church Matching Scholarship form

In recognition of the value of church workers in this day and age, BUA awards this scholarship to students who are working at a Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT) church. Students can find this form in their Blackbaud student portal.

In support of pastoral families, BUA awards this scholarship to the spouse or children of a minister at a BGCT church or organization. Students can also find this form in their Blackbaud student portal.

BUA awards the Texas Baptist Missions Foundation Endowed Scholarship (TBMF Endowed Scholarship) to new and current students serving at churches and other non-profit organizations. Students must provide an official letter from their organization, including a description of the student's service the previous semester and show academic excellence. Students who meet the requirements can find this form in their Blackbaud student portal.
