Agape Ministry at BUA continues to support local and international students, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Ms. Kelly Jaquez, First Lady, BUA student volunteers, and our donors. Every Tuesday from 12:30 to 2:00 PM and Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, students from the U.S. and abroad receive essentials, including food and other necessities, ensuring they have the support they need to thrive in their academic pursuits.

Led by Ms. Kelly Jaquez, Agape Ministry has become a vital resource for students from countries such as Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Brazil, China, and beyond. The weekly event provides support for those far from home, offering not just material support but also a sense of community and belonging.

“We are deeply grateful to our donors whose contributions make this vital ministry possible,” expressed Ms. Jaquez. “Their generosity provides BUA students with food support and shares the love of Jesus in a practical way.”

The impact of Agape Ministry extends far beyond the distribution of goods. It fosters a sense of family among the students by fulfilling the mission of Agape which is “through love ser one another” Galatians 5:13. Through shared experiences and mutual support, students find comfort in knowing they are not alone in their academic journey.

“Agape Ministry has been a lifeline for me,” shared Yamileth Guzman, a student from El Salvador. “Not only do they provide essentials like food, but they also offer a sense of family that makes me feel at home, even though I’m thousands of miles away.”

As the Tuesday and Wednesday gatherings continue to grow in impact, Agape Ministry remains steadfast in its mission to serve the needs of students, ensuring they have the resources and support necessary to thrive during their time at BUA.

“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” – Galatians 5:13
