Students who are placed in Level 2 after taking the English Language Proficiency test will learn the grammatical foundation of the English language. They will be given the opportunity to use their knowledge and creativity to communicate their own ideas while interacting with content, grammar and each other. Students enrolled in this course will learn the following competencies:
Vocabulary: Use alphabet, numbers, and a limited set of learned words and phrases related to personal information and basic needs. Produce basic sounds, words, and phrases as modeled in an institutional setting with very limited control over rhythm, stress, and intonation.
Grammar: Use a few basic grammar conventions in structured communication.
Composition: Develop writing skills using grammar structure and vocabulary learned during each lesson.
